Reading Room
The Reading Room is located on the first floor of the church building in downtown Washington, DC. Visitors can access and read from the extensive collection of Christian Science literature, including the Bible and Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy. It is a place to connect with others, ask questions, feel inspired, pray, and learn about Christian Science.
The Reading Room is open from 12:00–5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday — and until 7:30 p.m on Wednesdays leading into that evening’s testimony meeting.
What can be found in the Reading Room?
Items are available for purchase in-store, for pick-up, or by mail. In the Reading Room, you can also learn how to access the Christian Science resources online. Select literature is available for free.

Welcome Wednesdays
Head to the Reading Room for fun and Christian fellowship ahead of the Wednesday evening testimony meeting. We’ll enjoy light refreshments and read articles from the Christian Science Monitor and Christian Science Sentinel. We’ll learn about local and global challenges, share insights with each other, and pray for the world together. There is also opportunity to browse Christian Science literature and other resources. All are welcome to join!

Thankful Thursdays
Join us online each Thursday for a deep dive study of the Bible. We read chapters of the Bible in advance and then come together during Thankful Thursdays for fruitful discussions, whether you’re new to the Bible or have been exploring it for years. Share your insights, ask questions, and grow in your understanding of the Bible with our warm and welcoming community.
